Now and then I enjoy a colorful eye makeup look to spice up an outfit. Many girls out there feel as if they are unable to rock a bold blue eyeliner or purple eyeshadow. I'm here to tell you to get rid of that fear and go grab your colors. There is no such thing as being "too bold". But there is something called: being too comfortable in your comfort zone. Colorful makeup can seem scary, you may feel unexperienced to wear bold colors on your eyes and lips. But I've found that I've gotten way more attention and received many more compliments when wearing bolder makeup.
Everyone is used to neutral, soft makeup. Which, don't get me wrong, looks great. But is boring. It's not new and fresh! People will start seeing you as trendier and more fashion forward when you start changing up your makeup look into something daring. You won't look funny, trust me. Colors often accentuate your natural beauty. Blues and greens make black and brown eyes pop! Purple and orange blush look exquisite on deeper skin tones. Blood red blush elevate fair skin. Yellow and blue, is a dream come true! Colorful makeup can make a boring outfit seem interesting without putting too much effort into the pieces you've already worn twice this week. With different makeup, you have different looks. Bold and colorful makeup can be worn at any time of day. If you're running late and can't go home and change your makeup before going out after work, by using bold makeup your look is automatically night-life friendly. Pop on a red lip and you're good to go. Put some blue into your inner color and you'll be dancing your night away.
Colorful makeup can seem difficult to work with but its really not! Blend for days! Blend, blend, blend! Never stop blending your pigments. Whether it's a green shadow or a purple blush, make sure your colors are well blended. Don't leave a harsh line when opting for a softer colorful look. When choosing a more daring side, sharp edges are your skins best friend! Sharp eyeliner and cat eye eyeshadows make a look seem high-fashion without trying too hard.
Don't let anyone tell you that you don't have the face for any makeup look. All faces have the beauty to rock bold makeup. It can accentuate your features naturally without going under the knife. You can achieve a fox eye look by pulling your eyeshadow upwards and blending. High cheek bones? grab a red blush, life your face by placing your blush on the sides of your cheeks, not the front. Blush by your temples can add a little lift by your eyes as well. Fuller lips with red or black lipstick? make sure the corners are sharp and clean. Use a concealer to clean up any small mistakes and enjoy your fuller lips without any filler. You can go over the natural line of your lips to add even more volume.
